Haliburton Honey
The Ask: Create a brand from the ground up for a small honey company from Haliburton (go figure) and its wide variety of products.
The Idea: The emptying honeycomb and drip represent where the honey comes from and what it is now.

VIV Technologies
The Ask: Create a brand system that matches the energy and ambition of VIV Technologies, as they look to disrupt the healthcare industry.
The Idea: Use a bold colour palette and prismatic design to break from the industry’s status quo while representing different pieces of VIV working in harmony.

Rocket Fuel
The Ask: Create a playful coffee brand that focuses on the communal aspect of drinking some hot brew.
The Idea: What better way to represent the lift off you get when drinking coffee with like-minded people than nodding at doomsday cults waiting to be taken away on spaceships?

Meg’s Mosaics
The Ask: Create a logo and colour system for an artist named Meg who creates mosaics out of wood.
The Idea: Design a double-M logo with warm colours to form a mosaic that represents the artist and her medium.

Derek McGowan
The Ask: Create a visual system for a guitar podcast hosted by the most metal and un-metal dude you’ll ever meet.
The Idea: Represent the two sides of Derek McGowan with playful colours and a spacious and legible identity to offset the metal nature of his show.

That’s Dark Podcast
The Ask: Create a visual identity that somehow balances the grim and grisly nature of this horror podcast with the show’s humorous and thoughtful treatment.
The Idea: Use colour and distorted visuals to soften the show’s content and contrast the hosts’ approach.

Andrew Toms
The Ask: Create a logo/watermark for a new photography company. That’s pretty much it.
The Idea: Use the initials of the company’s founder to create the look of a tripod–roughly.

Suspected Arson
The Ask: Help indie band Dakota Mill design a hot sauce.
The Idea: Dakota Mill (the band) is making a hot sauce. Dakota Mill (the place) burned down because of suspected arson. That’s easy naming math. The logo features the name coming out of a lit match.

Jeff Donovan
The Ask: Create a personalized and sophisticated stationary set for a personal and sophisticated real estate agent.
The Idea: Design a seamless logo that nestles the cut of the J into the cut of the D for an uninterrupted look.

Album Art
The Ask: “Do our record cover. You’re probably not doing anything else anyway.”
The Idea: Okay.

Barely Skateboarding
The Ask: Build a skateboard brand aimed at the 35+ crowd or anyone looking to re-live the glory days.
The Idea: Barely – a skateboard brand for those that can barely skate. Milli Vanilli were barely a band, so the brand ambassadors were a no-brainer.
